Florida sunshine is wonderful, but a little shade makes time outdoors more comfortable for you and your dog. Wild Frontier’s mature trees provide welcome shade throughout the resort and create an inviting setting for daily walks.

Start the morning with an easy stroll, take a break outside during the afternoon or wind down together in the evening. The resort’s relaxed atmosphere makes it easy to settle into a comfortable routine during a short visit, seasonal stay or annual stay.

Dogs must remain leashed and under their owner’s control while walking around the resort.

We understand that your dog is more than a pet—they’re part of your life and often your favorite traveling companion.

Wild Frontier welcomes up to two dogs per RV site. Our team keeps treats in the office, and you’ll find plenty of fellow travelers who understand the joys of sharing the RV lifestyle with a dog.

While Wild Frontier does not have an on-site dog park, the resort offers pleasant surroundings for leashed walks. Ocala also has nearby parks and outdoor destinations where you and your dog can enjoy more time together.

Explore Dog-Friendly Ocala

Ocala and Marion County offer plenty of opportunities to include your dog in the day’s plans. From downtown walks and outdoor dining to shaded trails and local parks, you won’t always need to leave your companion behind.

Downtown Ocala

Put on the leash and explore historic Downtown Ocala together. Walk around the Downtown Square and Citizens’ Circle, browse the area and relax at a restaurant with dog-friendly outdoor seating.

On Saturdays, the Ocala Downtown Market welcomes leashed dogs and may feature vendors offering treats, accessories and other products for pets.

Parks and Walking Trails

Ocala and Marion County have numerous trails and parks where leashed dogs are welcome. Options include Silver Springs State Park, Rainbow Springs State Park, Baseline Road Trailhead and Santos Trailhead.

Rules vary by location, and dogs may be restricted from certain buildings, swimming areas or other spaces. Check the destination’s current pet policy before visiting.

Letty Towles Dog Park

When your dog needs some off-leash playtime, Letty Towles Dog Park in Ocala offers fenced areas where dogs can run and socialize. The park includes separate spaces for smaller and larger dogs, shaded seating and water features.

World Equestrian Center

The World Equestrian Center is known for welcoming dogs in many of its outdoor areas and at select events. Take a walk around the grounds, watch an equestrian competition or enjoy a meal at a restaurant with appropriate outdoor seating.

Many Ocala-area restaurants offer patios where well-behaved dogs are welcome. Downtown Ocala and nearby Dunnellon are both good places to look for outdoor dining where you and your dog can relax together.
